Diane J. Schumacher
Diane Schumacher is an attorney, licensed with the California State Bar and the United States District Court, Central District of California, demonstrating 15 years of corporate business legal experience. Diane has accumulated more than 20 years working in the financial services industry, spending her entire career in the sector, including as a bond trader, investment advisor, lobbyist, and public relations coordinator for Certified Financial Planners prior to becoming an attorney.
Diane is well-versed in exempt securities offerings – those transactions that companies can legally offer and sell to investors without registering with the SEC. Experienced in providing guidance and support to clients with respect to the creation of Private Funds, Regulation D offerings, and Regulation A+ offerings, she advises on capital formation, corporate governance, and all related legal operational matters required for businesses. Diane established her previous corporate transactional law firm in Los Angeles in 2008, where she began advising small and mid-sized business owners and entrepreneurs on corporate and securities law related matters. She represented companies in the technology, entertainment, financial services, hospitality, and healthcare industries, and also advised those companies when fundraising pursuant to and in compliance with appropriate securities exemptions.
Diane earned her juris doctorate degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, California, and her bachelor’s degree in journalism with a professional concentration in business from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. After 13 years in Los Angeles, Diane returned to her native home of Colorado, where she resides in the Denver area and enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog in the beautiful outdoors as often as she can.
